Moving Into Twyford House Care Home

Here at Twyford House Care Home, we opened our doors over 12 months ago, and we have welcomed some amazing people into our homes over those months.

Since opening our doors, we’ve experienced lockdowns, visiting limitations, and haven’t been able to welcome people for a walk around like we hoped we could. So what do you need to know before coming to live with us?

Before You Move In

Before we move residents into Twyford House, we would love to invite them for a short stay, or at least a visit for the day. However, we appreciate that we are still currently bound by protecting both current and potential residents from the effects of Covid-19 so this may not always be possible.

When we can invite you in for a day, we would like you to talk a look around the stunning grounds where our residents are free to roam. From the courtyard surrounded by trees to the landscaped stunning gardens.

Not to mention taking a look around at what we have to offer inside. Our beauty salon has everything you need to keep you feeling like you, even when we can’t get you to your old favourite hairdressers.

Consider yourself a bit of a film buff? Or just like to enjoy the occasional film? You can enjoy them in our cinema room at your leisure.

Like A Family

Here at Twyford House Care Home Alsager, we treat each and every one of our residents as part of the family. While it may seem a little daunting to be moving into a home the size of ours, we ensure that each person is cared about just as much as the next.

Helping to feel more like a family, we actively encourage residents to engage with each other. Particularly those with similar interests, hobbies and similar backgrounds too. This helps them to bond with those around them.

We try to have our team interacting with the same residents where possible so that residents can get to know their carers on a better level. This is particularly the case for dementia care Cheshire.

Keeping You Busy

There’s nothing more important than keeping your body and mind as active as possible as you get older. Many believe that once you are in a care home, this is no longer the case. However, here at Twyford House, we are happy to debunk this myth. The team here are busy every day getting our residents involved in as many activities as possible. From the odd song and dance to quizzes that are aimed at keeping your brain active.

Not to mention we also have the magic table that encourages residents to get thinking and moving to interact with the onscreen games and activities.

Want to know more about visiting us or moving into Twyford House Care Home? Get in touch with the team today who will be happy to discuss this with you.

We hope to open our doors for visits and experience days very soon. So keep in touch or follow us on Facebook for more information.
