We are full of Christmas cheer at Lovett Care Homes here in Stoke on Trent. Following on from the very successful Elf Day in aid of Alzheimers Society there were two further events which the residents enjoyed during December.
The Level 2 health and social care team students and staff at Newcastle-under-Lyme College invited a group of residents from Goldendale House Care home to enjoy a special Christmas Afternoon Tea. We enjoyed a warm welcome, presents, and plenty of mince pies and Christmas treats to eat. There was live entertainment with Christmas songs which lead to spontaneous dancing. This is great opportunity for students to gain valuable experience before entering employment within care and nursing home environments. It is always good to have interaction between different generations and for our residents to enjoy a trip out. A lot of fun was had by everyone who attended, and we would like to say thank you and wish our hosts a Happy Christmas from everyone at Lovett Care!
